DkIT celebrates 20 years of film success
The School of Informatics and Creative Arts at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) recently celebrated a fantastic 20 years of the Film Programme within the Institute. The BA (Hons) in Film & Television Production welcomed its first cohort of students in September 2014, replacing the former Level 7 and Level 8 BA and BA (Hons) in Video and Film Production programmes. The programme built on an already strong national reputation established by the success of its predecessor courses, which had been running since 2005 and 2008 respectively.

Newest Intellectual Disability Nursing students kickstart their degree through the Tertiary Pathway
Seven future Intellectual Disability Nurses have begun the first step to their new careers as they commence their Tertiary Degree Pathway in Intellectual Disability Nursing.
The students will complete their first year of this programme in their local ETB (Education and Training Board) and then progress to DkIT to undertake their four-year BSc (Hons) in Intellectual Disability Nursing programme.

From Late Starter to Sports Scholar: Cian’s volleyball journey at DkIT
24-Year-Old Cian Choy is in his third year studying Sports and Exercise with Business at DkIT.
A volleyball sports scholar, Cian is currently team captain and club president, and is responsible for the overall running of the volleyball club, including events and training sessions and arranging fun taster sessions and beginner tournaments.
