Webinar - 'Social Anxiety'Dr. Aoife Gordon discusses how 'Social Anxiety' develops and how it affects a child/young person’s thoughts, behaviour, and wellbeing. The webinar explains that anxiety exists on a spectrum, ranging from normal everyday stress to severe, chronic, and debilitating anxiety disorder. Dr. Gordon highlights when it becomes a problem, enabling parents and teachers to recognise early warning signs such as avoidance, low confidence, and physical symptoms. The webinar also shows how everyday responses, like allowing avoidance, can unintentionally maintain anxiety.
Dr. Gordon provides practical, evidence based strategies for parents and teachers to support children and young people effectively.

th Cycle Against Suicide will gather for our Galway Mental Health Awareness Cycle, and everyone is invited to take part. This peloton-style community event is about more than just cycling, but rather, it is a coming together to raise awareness, break the stigma around mental health, and send a clear message that there is no shame in asking for help. There is a particular need to support men in speaking openly, as they account for the majority of suicide cases.
We ask that you join with us to help shift that narrative and help show that talking, sharing, and seeking support are powerful and positive steps forward. Further information and registration are available at:
