Career pathways with Tech Apprenticeships and Traineeships

Tech Apprenticeships:
FIT currently offer four distinct career paths; Computer Networking, Software Development, Cybersecurity and Data Analytics. Each programme takes place over a two-year period, offering both on-the-job training and off-the-job learning, and allows learners to earn a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in their chosen area.

Traineeships:
FIT, in collaboration with programme partners, have a number of Level 3, 4 and 5 courses in a variety of areas. Some of the more popular courses in recent years have included the Advanced Manufacturing (Level 4 – 36 week course) and White Goods Field Service Technician (Level 6 – 39 week course).
Traineeships offer learners the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a thriving industry, encouraging them to progress to further study and/or seek relevant entry-level employment opportunities.
These courses take place all-year round, with numerous intakes scheduled nationally. Applicants must be over the age of 18, with no age limit to apply. There is also no previous experience required.
