A Future Career in addressing Climate ChangeTU Dublin

The BSc in Spatial Planning and Environmental Management (TU835), a combined programme delivered by TU Dublin Environment & Planning, is worth thinking about if you want a future career in addressing climate change and improving the environment.

After a common first year programme, students can choose between two streams in year two, either spatial planning, which focusses on planning the future of towns and cities, or environmental management, which is about managing a sustainable environment for the future.

Year three includes a work placement, with many recent graduates going on to find employment with their work placement partner.  Year four allows full specialisation in a chosen field, including the completion of a research project.

The programme is highly practical and applied, with many field-trips and practical project assignments taking place in every year.  Third year includes a field trip to a chosen European destination.

The programme is also highly internationalised.  Students can go on Erasmus exchanges to: Dundee (Scotland), HCU Hafencity (Germany), TU Dortmund (Germany), Tampere (Finland), Lyon (France) and many others.

TU Dublin Environment & Planning has education partnerships with the National University of Lesotho and the Gengdan Institute of Beijing University of Technology, where TU Dublin Environment & Planning staff are teaching planning to Chinese students.
