Earn, Learn and Experience at IT Sligo with our Insurance Apprenticeships

Did you know that you can earn and learn with IT Sligo? The Insurance Practitioner Apprenticeship is Ireland’s first apprenticeship to award a level 8 honours degree – the BA (Hons) in Insurance Practice. This three year, work-based training programme combines on the job learning with academic study, allowing you to acquire key business skills such as communication, negotiation, workplace collaboration, customer service, innovation and critical thinking as well as skills in emerging areas such e-business.

You will also gain technical insurance knowledge by completing the professional insurance programmes ‘Accredited Product Adviser (APA) and Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP)’. The apprenticeship works by recruiting applicants into an insurance organisations where you will learn about the practical aspects of your chosen career, whilst all study is done online through IT Sligo and the Insurance Institute.
