Start of CAO Applications

The CAO opens tomorrow at 12 noon

Hi there,

CAO applications for 2027 open tomorrow at 12 noon. My advice is to open your account early.

You don't need your course choices ready. You can register now and add or change your courses for free until 1 February at 5pm.

Why open your account early?

1. You save €15
The fee is €35 until 20 January at 5pm. After that it's €50, and the normal closing date is 1 February at 5pm.

2. You get your CAO number
You'll need it for:

HEAR and DARE: online forms close on 1 March at 5pm
HPAT: registration for Medicine applicants closes on 15 January at 5.15pm
Scholarships and other applications that ask for it
