Major Initiatives in Modern Methods of Construction

In 2025, the Irish Government launched a set of major initiatives in modern methods of construction (MMC).

These include cross- government investment in the construction of a MMC National Demonstration Park, the publication of the MMC Action Plan and the launch of an online MMC learning platform.

These initiatives aim to reduce Ireland’s dependency on traditional construction methods, help address labour shortages, upskill workers and improve Ireland’s environmental sustainability.
