More Professional Exam Exemptions Now Available for BComm (Accounting) Students

If you have students thinking of pursuing a career in accountancy, the BComm (Accounting) at University of Galway just became an even smarter choice.

We’re delighted to share that Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI) has approved two new exemptions from the CAP 2* level of professional exams for eligible students on our BComm (Accounting) programme. This is in addition to full exemptions from all five CAP 1 exams, which the programme already offers.

*Exemption from professional exams subject to achieving the minimum required grades in specified subjects.

What does that mean for students?
If students meet the required academic criteria, they could finish their degree with substantial exam exemptions from CAI already - putting them well ahead of the pack when it comes to qualifying as a Chartered Accountant.
