New Design Thinking Course using Technology

Developed by researchers at the Open University in collaboration with Trinity College Dublin, and piloting for the first time this Spring 2025.

Offered for free to teachers in Ireland via Trinity College Dublin, this course is part of ExtenDT2 project, a Research and Development Project funded by Horizon Europe and Innovate UK. It brings together Design Thinking methodologies and Emerging Technologies to support innovation in education. The course is expected to take approx. 4-10 hours to complete.

As a participant, you will:

  • Join an online introductory session via Zoom, hosted by Trinity College, Dublin
  • Complete a brief pre-survey
  • Gain access to the OU Design Thinking Course
  • Complete a brief post-survey
  • Complete a brief post-survey
  • Obtain a Digital Badge upon completion of the Course
  • Receive a signed certificate from Trinity College for participation

The Introductory Session will take place on Wednesday (afternoon), 9th April, and the course is designed to be completed by the first week of June.

If you are interested, or would like more information, please complete the Expression of Interest Form by Friday, 4th April.
