Understanding Anxiety in the Workplace - September 18th

An estimated 4% of the global population currently experience an anxiety disorder (WHO, 2023)

The aim of this webinar is to provide an understanding of anxiety and discuss how anxiety can impact on individuals on a day to day basis with an emphasis on the potential impact on work and what supports are available to employees and employers.

This webinar is hosted by Alice Hartigan, WAM Project Officer in AHEAD, with a featured presentation from Michael Ledden of Anxiety Ireland.

The webinar will include a question-and-answer session at the end of the presentation.

When: Wednesday September 18th 2024 from 11.30am – 1.00pm.

What: An online session which seeks to provide awareness and understanding about Anxiety in the workplace. The webinar will run in partnership with Anxiety Ireland.

UCD & AHEAD are Delighted to Announce The John Kelly Awards Final Event - October 25th

Following the review from our carefully selected international panel, AHEAD and UCD are excited to announce the shortlisted finalists for the upcoming John Kelly Awards. The awards are named after the late Professor John Kelly, former Registrar of UCD and founding Chair of AHEAD in recognition of his pioneering work. These awards to aim to celebrate and recognise excellence in the embedding of universal design in individual and collaborative practice.

Mental Health Commission - Clerical Officer Closing August 28th

Applications are currently open for one ring-fenced position for graduates with disabilities with the Mental Health Commission (MHC). The successful candidate will join the Enduring Powers of Attorney Support Team in the Decision Support Services (DSS) division of the MHC.

This role will be based at their office at Waterloo exchange, Waterloo Rd, Dublin 4. Staff at MHC may also apply for a blended working arrangement. However, a minimum 3 days per week on-site is required and the initial induction training period will require two weeks full-time attendance in the office. The position is for 11 months and will commence as soon as possible.

This role has a strong focus on customer service, particularly on the phone. Full training will be provided.

Applicants are required to have a minimum NFQ Level 6 degree in any subject.
