UCD’s Ad Astra Academy Scholarship Programme

For the September 2026 intake, the applications to the Academic Programme close on 24th August. The application is made online, via our website, and there may be exceptional pupils in your school who should apply. To be eligible to apply to the scholarship, candidates must have received 6 x H1s in the first sitting of the Leaving Certificate or in the case of the GCE Advanced (A-Level), applicants must present with three Grade A* at A level in the first sitting. Applications for our Elite Sports and Performing Arts Scholarships have closed for this September and will reopen in November for September 2027 intake.

The Academy provides a nurturing infrastructure for students who show exceptional potential in academic pursuits, sports or the performing arts. This includes a bursary, academic mentoring, a scholars room, workshops with industry experts, elective modules, team building evenings, campus accommodation, innovative supports and more that will help them to achieve at the very highest levels.
