The visiting delegation was welcomed by DkIT President, Dr. Diarmuid O’Callaghan and senior representatives from DkIT and Queen's for a roundtable discussion focusing on the Queen's–DkIT Strategic Partnership and the Dublin–Belfast Economic Corridor. The discussion explored recent developments between DkIT and Queen's, in particular the formalisation of the Heads of Agreement between the two institutions and the partnership’s long-term vision.
An exciting new addition to the Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) range of courses for September, 2026 is the Level 8, BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre. This course provides essential and comprehensive training in the three main principles of musical theatre, acting, singing and dancing, supported by academic modules which explore further understanding of the industry and follows the success of the Level 7 Musical Theatre Degree, which first began in 2022.
Having recently completed her Plumbing apprenticeship in Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT), Emma Crimmins from Clondalkin grew up around the trade but only realised it was her calling after a number of years as a chef.
