Late Applications

This newsletter contains info related to NCAD Late Applications for the 2026/2027 Academic Year.

Please read on for more relevant info

CAO Change of Mind

Close 1st July at 5pm

The CAO Change of Mind period opened on 5 May and will close on 1st July. Change of Mind means you can move the order of your course preferences. You can also add Unrestricted NCAD Courses that you may have left out previously.  We recommend that this weekend you talk to someone who is well placed to advise you and you consider whether you should make some changes to your CAO.  For example if you received a BT (below threshold) score in your portfolio for any of your NCAD choices, then you should remove this programme from your CAO and replace it with something else.

The NCAD programmes listed below are Unrestricted and now can be added if you did not previously have them in your top 10 choices for the 2026/2027 Academic Year:  Click on the buttons below to explore these options.

AD 212 Product Design
AD 215 BA Visual Culture
AD222 BA Interaction Design

If you do not already have a CAO application for the 2026/2027 Academic Year, you will not be able to participate in the CAO Change of Mind period.

To participate in Change of Mind as an Irish/EU/EEA/UK/Swiss Confederation applicant, be sure to login on the CAO website.

For International Applicants, be sure to apply directly on the NCAD website

Curious about BA Visual Culture?

If you have interest in Art & Design and would like to join the 88,000 people working in the creative industries, a degree in Visual Culture may be for you!

Visual culture explores the forces that have shaped the objects, images and

buildings which form our world. This non-studio based programme offers full-time and part-time options. For details on the part-time programme, contact [email protected].

Next Newsletter

In our next newsletter we will have updates about NCAD Works (5th-13th of June), when the campus opens for the public to view the artwork, and projects produced by our graduating students.

There will be a special tour for those hoping to study at NCAD arranged for those on our mailing list taking place at 1pm on Monday 8 June.  We understand that those sitting the leaving certificate may be too busy to join us (best of luck by the way!), but we look forward to welcoming those of you who are available.

We will also have advice for those who, now that they have received their portfolio scores, are thinking to make changes to their CAO application.

Have a lovely weekend,

Admissions at NCAD
