| | Maths WeekNOVEMBER NEWSLETTERLet us know what you thought of Maths Week 2026, and upcoming events. |
|
| | Hallowe’en has gone by and it’s feeling very wintery now. Traditionally 1 November marks the start of Winter: November, December and January. The festival of Samhain or Hallowe’en marks the passing from Autumn to Winter. However from a meteorological view we are still in Autumn with Winter considered as December, January and February. Meanwhile astronomers work from the solstices and equinoxes, so winter begins around Dec 21st. So here’s hoping that we have some more nice Autumnal weather left. We have some events and news for you below and before Maths Week becomes a distant memory, please fill out our short survey below. |

| Coordinated annually by Research Ireland, Science Week 2026 will take place from 8th - 15th November all across Ireland. This year's theme of Water is an invitation to look afresh at the substance that connects every aspect of life on Earth. We drink it, depend on it and are surrounded by it, yet water is far more than something that falls from the sky or flows from the tap.
