New rewilding centre to strengthen community ties in Greater Côa Valley



The support, trust and passion of local communities will always be vital to the success of rewilding. With this in mind, the opening of a new rewilding centre in the Greater Côa Valley will help Rewilding Portugal take community engagement to the next level!

The building has been provided by a generous native of the region - Fernando Mayor Espinha, who decided to support the rewilding movement and its increasingly positive impact in his homeland.

On request of the European Commission, the GrazeLIFE consortium reflected on current policy and practice. Experts from the team will present their findings during the event and share recommendations for both policymakers and practitioners to support extensive grazing systems.

Join the Rewilding Training Tourism Programme!

First in its kind, Rewilding Training Tourism aims to professionalise and scale up nature-based tourism in Europe. Set up by Rewilding Europe in cooperation with the European Safari Company and Nature Tourism Development, the programme consists of three stages in which you receive a comprehensive rewilding training and learn to build broad spectrum skills in guiding, hospitality and service with a rewilding mindset, following rewilding principles.
