Green Guidance Handbook For Career Practitioners

European Union Funded Project  2025

With the current surge of climate change related summer forest fires in the Northern Hemisphere, it’s timely to draw attention to the development of a  GREEN GUIDANCE HANDBOOK   by a group of people from academic and non-academic organisations in five countries: Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Portugal, and Norway, in a project funded by the European Union.

The Handbook provides a rationale and definition for Green Guidance; provides advice on how to engage young people and adults in Green Guidance conversations and in careers education/learning; addresses ethical issues - the moral, social, and political implications of Green Guidance, and roles for practitioners in systemic change.

The Handbook is thought-provoking and offers many ideas on how career practitioners can engage with Green Guidance initiatives.

The website  https://www.green-guidance.eu/resources/ provides a range of resources and tools including practical examples for the implementation of the Handbook’s recommendations.
