DkIT Lecturer Wins Global Women in Supply Chain Award

Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) are thrilled to congratulate one of their lecturers Maryellen Kelledy, Department of Electronic and Mechanical Engineering, who has just been named as one of the winners of this year’s Women in Supply Chain Awards. Maryellen has received this award from the US Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine, the only publication covering the entire global supply chain, it honours female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network. Maryellen will be honoured at this year’s Women in Supply Chain Forum, which takes place in Atlanta in November.

From Dundalk, Co. Louth, Maryellen Kelledy, along with working as an assistant lecture in the School of Engineering in DkIT has also been involved with Irish-founded company Overhaul since its early inception in 2020. Overhaul is a software-based, supply-chain visibility, risk, compliance and insurance solution for some of the world’s leading brands with headquarters in the US and an Irish base in DkIT’s Regional Development Centre (RDC).

Maryellen has over 20 years’ experience in industry and has held an instrumental role within Overhaul’s leadership team, she has been a driving force behind the successful orchestration of multifunctional projects, all aimed at propelling the company to new heights.

Maryellen has also recently been short-listed for the Irish Women Mean Business Awards 2023 and was named as one of the finalists in their Businesswoman of the Year Category. The winners of these awards will be announced this October in Dublin.
