Celebrating 20 years of Creativity at DkIT

Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) was delighted to see the return of Fís to campus for the 2022 graduate showcase. Fís is the annual final showcase of graduate ‘Creative Media’ student work from the Department of Creative Arts, Media and Music. This is a wonderful event in which the Institute celebrates the achievements of its students who have worked so hard to produce their projects and installations which were exhibited at this final showcase.

At the event DkIT was delighted to be showcasing the work of students from the BA (Hons) in Creative Media and the BA in Creative Media. This year was a very special celebration, one that celebrates the 20th Anniversary of Fís in line with the 50th Anniversary of DkIT.

Rónán Lynch, Acting Head of Department of Creative Arts, Media and Music said ‘This was a fantastic end of year show which showcased the great diversity of work being undertaken by our creative students. We encourage our students to be innovative, and in the Creative Department, we pride ourselves in seeking out opportunities for students to engage in industry related projects which will help in the development of key skills that will prepare them for their exciting future in the Creative Industries. I am confident that our students will become leaders and innovators in their respective fields, and I look forward to following their futures. I encourage each of our students to take great pride in their achievements to date and be proud of having completed their programme of study at DkIT. The success of an event such as this depends on the dedication and commitment of our students and staff, and I thank them all for their preparation for this event.’

On the night, the winner of best in show was ‘Frient’, a 4th year project, the members of the team are Saidhbh Brennan, Elisha Saronamihardja, Jack O'Connor and Patrick Usher.
