The reality for today’s school leavers is that there is no longer just one “default” pathway. Alongside college, more students are now exploring Apprenticeship and Traineeship routes, particularly in areas like technology, where skills and experience are in high demand. These pathways offer practical and structured routes into employment and for many students, this can be a better fit than a traditional academic route.
Tech apprenticeships combine college-based learning with on-the-job learning over four key areas: Software Development, Cybersecurity, Computer Networking and a new Data Analytics (subject to QQI validation).
