Parents Needed to Help Shape a New Support Resource for Childhood Anxiety

As part of the development of Cycle Against Suicide's HELP Programme -Health Educators Leading Parents, in partnership with the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department at University College Dublin, (ongoing PhD study within the UCD School of Medicine),  we are inviting parents with experience of supporting a child with anxiety to help refine a new digital toolkit for parents.

Participation involves two online sessions, each lasting approximately one hour, during August and/or September.

For your parents who participate your insights and experiences can help shape a national resource designed by parents, for parents, ensuring it is relevant, practical and responsive to the real challenges families face.

Further information and contact details are available at the link below. Thank you for considering taking part: Developing A Digital Toolkit Resource for Parents of Children who are Anxious

Primary Schools Programme - 'Mind Me-Mind You'

As the school year comes to a close, we would like to invite schools and teachers to submit their Mind Me-Mind You Programme returns here: https://cas-elearning.com/mind-me-mind-you/mind-me-mind-you-share-materials/

Ambassador Plaques for participating schools of both our primary and secondary school programmes will be issued to all schools late August/early September.

Cycle Against Suicide extends sincere thanks to all primary and secondary schools and teachers who engaged with and delivered our programmes this year. Your commitment to supporting young people, encouraging open conversations, and promoting positive mental health has made a meaningful difference in school communities across the country.

We are deeply grateful for all participating schools for their continued partnership and support. Wishing all teachers, students and school staff a safe restful and well deserved summer break.

Cycle of Hope-Mizen to Malin Challenge - 'September 6th to 11th.

World Suicide Prevention Day, September 10th,  is a global reminder that suicide prevention is everyone's business. It is a day to raise awareness, challenge stigma and encourage conversations that can save lives.

This year's theme, "Changing the Narrative on Suicide," calls on all of us to replace silence with understanding, stigma with compassion, and isolation with connection. By creating a culture where people feel safe to talk and seek help, we can give hope to those who may be struggling.

To mark World Suicide Prevention Day, Cycle Against Suicide invites you to join our Cycle of Hope: Mizen to Malin Challenge, taking place from 6th-11th September. (Travel days Saturday 5th & 12th).

Whether you ride for a day, a few days or the full journey, you will be part of a powerful movement bringing communities together, supporting those impacted by suicide and promoting help seeking behaviour.
