The tech company has committed €4m to AI skilling initiatives in Ireland, supporting communities, businesses and individuals in their AI prep.
Technology giant Microsoft has released a socio-economic impact report, showing that over the past decade the organisation has contributed €40bn to Ireland’s economy.
Coinciding with the report, Microsoft also announced it would be committing an additional €4m investment to support communities, businesses and individuals with AI skilling initiatives. The investment is to be deployed over the next three years, building on the €8m that has already been injected into AI skilling since 2018.
The additional funding will aim to unlock Ireland’s AI opportunities by providing people of all ages, backgrounds and experiences with the resources needed to develop their AI fluency and digital skills, the company said.
