University of Limerick and Aer Lingus are to work together on an exciting new partnership aimed at advancing innovation in aeronautical engineering through cutting-edge research, it has been announced.
As part of this collaboration, Aer Lingus will sponsor a select group of its Maintenance and Engineering employees to pursue a Master of Engineering by Research within UL’s Faculty of Science and Engineering.
This initiative represents a significant investment in the future of aviation, combining academic excellence with real-world industry expertise.
The new master’s programme, which will be delivered over two years on a part-time basis, will provide a research-driven environment focused on both fundamental and applied aeronautical engineering challenges. Key priorities include publishing impactful research findings and strengthening collaborative links between academia and the aviation industry.
