Kilkenny graduate Michael Hennessy is sowing the seeds of a future career in farm management after successfully securing a two-years long overseas placement under a Fyffes Graduate Management Programme.
Raised on a sheep and beef farm in Radestown, the 23-year old is currently applying his knowledge as an Irrigation Supervisor working on one of Fyffes pineapple farms in the Central American state of Panama. Previously he had spent time under the programme working on a similar farm in Costa Rica.
One of ten applicants from across the country chosen by Fyffes to participate in their 2016 programme, Michael graduated with a BSc in Agriculture and Land Management from Waterford Institute of Technology in 2015.
