Through the ‘Women in Technology’ scholarship programme, Intel hopes to encourage a new generation of high-achieving women to take up the challenge of a career in science and technology.
Apart from €2,000 a year successful students will be mentored by an Intel employee and get to do their internships at Intel's Leixlip facility.
Intel is accepting applications from female first year students studying specified four year undergraduate science, technology and engineering courses at WIT until Sunday, 18 October 2015. One of the criteria is to have achieved a minimum of 400 points in the Leaving Certificate.
Applicants must fill out an online submission form, and will be shortlisted for interview in late October. Winners will be announced in November.
