Maths Week

We have a series of online UCD Science TY events available throughout this school year, including Maths, Physics and Biology interactive workshops.

We would like to invite teachers to an introductory webinar about the Maths Week event on the 14 October 2024 at 11am via Zoom. This webinar will be recorded for teachers who are unable to join us live.

To celebrate Maths Week, Dr Áine Byrne from the UCD School of Mathematics and Statistics is organising a series of interactive workshops for Transition Year students to be completed in the classroom. The workshops are also open to 5th and 6th year secondary school classes. Throughout Maths Week, a new video with puzzles will be shared with teachers. The answers can be submitted to Dr Byrne and each school will receive feedback on the solutions. 

Registration is open to teachers/guidance counsellors only and a link to the introductory Zoom webinar will be emailed the week before the event to all teachers.
