This month has been short but sweet. Lir graduates Patrick Martins and Joy Nesbitt launched our Anti-Racism policy on 15 February. This policy has been in the works for a number of years and we are delighted to have progressed to the next phase in becoming an anti-racist organisation. We had a great run of Bulrusher by Eisa Davis which closed on 16 February. Now we're looking forward to March: our next production of the academic year 4.48 Psychosis opens on 24 March. We are running two free courses this March, the Nexo Course course for practising sound technicians and designers AV-1 training his Wednesday and Thursday, and an ETC course on LED Lighting on 28 March. We have extended the deadline for our Stage Management and Technical Theatre course, and we're now accepting applications to our MFA courses. Below are also details of our upcoming short courses.

4.48 Psychosis is an in-depth and viscerally honest look at the experience of major depressive disorder. As a choreopoem, a form of performative writing, there are no specific characters, but rather a multitude of voices. It could be interpreted as a journey through one person's mind, or an interview between a doctor and patient. With no strict narrative or timeline, certain themes are clearly dealt with – depression, isolation, dependency. There are also themes of relationships, love, and hope.
