Applications for Trinity Hall (official residence of Trinity College recommended for new entrants & first years) will be open from 30th March to the 16th May 2022 for new entrants to college. We anticipate that the provisional room offers to CAO students will be made in late June 2022.
The application system will close from 17th -29th May 2022. Applicants - made from 30th May onwards will be considered as “Late Applications” and will not be reviewed until after First Round of CAO offers have been made in August/September.
Accommodation offers are not made on a first to apply basis, the information detailed by applicants in their supporting statement is used to guide the decision process on whom to make offers to. Applicants are advised to be concise with their supporting statement detailing their interests, hobbies and achievements both personal and academic.
CAO students – Your full name and your CAO number MUST match your CAO application details (do not use your Leaving Certificate exam number). Discrepancies/errors in your name and CAO number will lead to your accommodation application not being reviewed.
For example, if your full name has been registered in an English format on your CAO application, it must be in an English format on your accommodation application. If you have used your full name in an Irish format, this must be in an Irish format on your accommodation application.
Accommodation in Trinity Hall is open to all Trinity College students who are undertaking a full-time undergraduate degree programme with priority given to Junior Fresh students. Apartments in Trinity Hall would generally consist of mixed genders, nationalities, academic disciplines, and ages. Students under the age of 18 will in all likelihood be sharing an apartment and/or twin-room with students over 18 years of age.
