Would you like to know what it’s really like to be a student at MIC? Then the MIC Student Experience Days are not to be missed!
At the MIC Student Experience Days in April and May, you’ll hear first-hand from our undergraduate students about what it’s really like to study at MIC Thurles and MIC Limerick.
You’ll also get to explore our campuses in Limerick and Thurles, and find out all you need to know about MIC’s undergraduate programmes, scholarships, studying abroad, clubs and societies, access routes, disability support, and lots more.
MIC’s Dramatic Arts Society Celebrates 25 Years
Here at MIC, one of our largest and most successful societies is MIDAS (Mary I Dramatic Arts Society).
As MIDAS turns 25 this year, its members are celebrating this milestone by taking to the stage of the Lime Tree Theatre with a spectacular production of Legally Blonde The Musical.
Did you know that we offer a CAO points reduction scheme here at MIC? If you play sport and have chosen one of MIC’s undergraduate programmes as your CAO choice, then you should check out MIC’s CAO Points Concession Sports Scheme.
Up to 10 places across all undergraduate programmes will be reserved for applicants who have achieved a very high level of performance within their chosen sport.
Successful applicants who meet all the necessary entry requirements and who also meet the sports assessment criteria may be eligible for a points reduction of up to 40 points below the first round CAO points cut-off for the programme they have applied for.
Applications are now open and will close on 1 May.
If you’re over the age of 23 and have applied for undergraduate study at MIC, you could be eligible for a Uversity Scholarship.
The Uversity Scholarship Scheme is for adult learners who wish to complete a bachelor’s degree for the very first time. There are two levels of financial support available - €5,000 for those without dependent children and €7,000 for those with dependent children. The scholarship is paid per annum for the duration of a four-year degree.
