CPD Certificate – Sequentially Planned Integrative Counselling with Children
– Equates to 10 Credits on our MA in Integrative Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy
This CPD Certificate is intended for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists, who hold either a Level 8 Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy, or a Level 8 Degree in another field plus a professionally recognised Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. It is designed to foster knowledge, skills and competencies in working with children using an integrative approach.
This module is the equivalent of 10 credits from the first year of our MA in Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy. Suitably qualified therapists who meet the entry requirements have the option to progress onto the MA should they wish to do so. Learners who attend the classes only can obtain a CPD Certificate. Learners who attend the classes and complete the assignment, obtain the CPD Certificate and certificate of credits achieved.
This module aims to give the learner a solid foundation in the theoretical and clinical underpinnings of child and adolescent counselling and psychotherapy, with a particular focus on Geldard and Geldard’s Sequentially Planned Integrative Counselling for Children (SPICC). For this module assessment, learners who wish to obtain both the CPD cert and the certificate of credits will submit a 4,000-word essay that critically evaluates the theoretical and clinical underpinnings of the SPICC model.
