The series is full of performances, showcases and exhibitions by students across a number of programmes in the Department. All events are open to the public, with some special matinee performances for schools.
Entry to all events is free and members of the public are invited to share in and enjoy the creativity and work of the Department.
The exciting line-up includes a number of performances in the MacAnna Theatre on the DkIT campus. These include the play Antigone by students on the BA Theatre and Film Practice (27 and 28 February), a traditional music concert featuring undergraduate and postgraduate students in music (7 March), an adaptation of the musical Finian’s Rainbow featuring the music theatre, jazz and traditional music ensembles from the BA (Hons) Applied Music programme (15 March), and the DkIT Choir and Chamber Choir Spring Concert (22 March).
A number of events will also take place in Dundalk and we are delighted to team up with the Michigan Irish Music Festival and The Spirit Store for the Michigan Irish Music Initiative (14 April), which offers bands the opportunity to compete for the opportunity to perform on the main stage in Michigan next September. Students on the BA (Hons) Film and Television Production will showcase their work in the IMC Cinema Dundalk on Friday 11 May.
