The University of Limerick Regional Writing Centre (RWC, UL) would like to remind CareersNews readers that the deadline for submitting an essay to the 12th Annual National Secondary School Essay-writing Competition is quickly approaching. The competition is open to TY- and 5th-year secondary school students in Ireland. The deadline is February 24th, 2023.
Are you a good writer? Do you like to argue your points? Would you like to be a prize-winning, nationally recognised writer? Well, here is your chance!
Each year, the RWC, UL asks TY- and 5th-year students from across Ireland to take a stance on a controversial social issue. There are prizes for the best-written arguments, with the top essay in each category receiving a high-spec android tablet and the two runners up in each category winning One4All vouchers worth €100 each.
Details about the competition can be found on the RWC, UL website, here, where the interested student will also find information about the relevant dates and forms, including the general rules and the judging criteria. Read submission rules carefully and submit soon.
