National Secondary School Essay-writing Competition

The University of Limerick Regional Writing Centre (RWC, UL) would like to remind CareersNews readers that the deadline for submitting an essay to the 12^th Annual National Secondary School Essay-writing Competition is quickly approaching. The competition is open to TY- and 5^th-year secondary school students in Ireland. The deadline is February 24^th, 2023.

Are you a good writer? Do you like to argue your points? Would you like to be a prize-winning, nationally recognised writer? Well, here is your chance!

Each year, the RWC, UL asks TY- and 5^th-year students from across Ireland to take a stance on a controversial social issue. There are prizes for the best-written arguments, with the top essay in each category receiving a high-spec android tablet and the two runners up in each category winning One4All vouchers worth €100 each.
