ESRI published An examination of the labour market transitions of minimum wage workers.

 

The research, which is part of an ESRI/Low Pay Commission research programme, examines the extent to which workers transition in and out of minimum wage employment. The study finds that minimum wage employment often acts as a stepping stone to higher pay.
