Wicklow Employer Roadshow

The Department of Social Protection’s Employer Relations Division are delighted to host their Intreo Employer Roadshow event on May 25 from 8-10 am in the Parkview Hotel, Newtown Mount Kennedy, County Wicklow. Accelerating Business Success in 2023 aims to provide information on the supports available for employers to help with staff recruitment and retention.

The theme of this years Summit is ‘Co-Creating the Digital World; beyond 2027.’ 
Ensuring how this happens will bring both challenges and opportunities to Industry leaders and academic researchers across various sectors. Attendees will hear from experienced industry leaders, policy makers and academic speakers, with keynote addresses and parallel breakout discussions.
Scheduled alongside the 2023 IVI Summit will be facilitated Innovation Workshops to provide an international overview and discussion of digital transformation and strategic directions in specific areas to explore the digital capabilities needed for successful transformation. Boyne Valley Food Hub Official Opening

A flagship food development project in the heart of one of Ireland’s richest farmland areas has been unveiled with the official launch of the Boyne Valley Food Hub in Navan.
The new Food Hub, located in the Meath Enterprise Centre in Navan, was officially opened on Friday 19th May by the Minister of State at the Dept of Enterprise, Trade & Employment, Neale Richmond.

New access and inclusion €3000 bursary

A new access and inclusion bursary has been announced by Minister Simon Harris to support access to national apprenticeships.
The bursary forms part of implementation of the Action Plan for Apprenticeship 2021-2025 and was designed in consultation with the new Access and Inclusion subcommittee to the National Apprenticeship Alliance.  See here for further information.
 

New Apprenticeship in Sportsturf Management.

Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science Simon Harris TD has today confirmed a new apprenticeship programme in Sportsturf Management. The two-year programme will welcome its first group of apprentices and employers in September 2023 and will train apprentices to work on plant science and protection, soil and rootzones, the principles of hydrology and preparing and maintaining a sportsturf facility.
