The Computer Science and STEM Summer Camp will take place at Maynooth University from the 20th June to the 15th July (9:30am to 1pm, Monday to Friday). Each week will be a separate experience with no repeated material. Students may attend for any number of weeks.
Each of the first three weeks will have both a beginner and an advanced camp, with both being targeted at 13–18-year-olds. The beginners camp will entail two 90-minute sessions on different topics each day. The advanced camp will follow a more project-based approach with material that builds from session to session. The final week will be a Women in STEM targeted camp.
Students will have the opportunity to try out many different Computer Science topics. These include coding, problem solving, web development, video editing, game design, music programming, robotics and much more.
Students are not required to have a PC or any equipment, everything will be provided for at the camp. Students will also be given a USB key to bring some material home.
