Waterford Institute of Technology is pleased to launch the Master of Education in Teaching and Learning commencing January 2019.
The MEd in Teaching and Learning is a part-time programme aimed at teachers, lecturers, trainers and education professionals who wish to enhance their knowledge and repertoire of teaching methodologies. Participants will critique contemporary teaching methods and education systems in order to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing educators, trainers and students in different educational contexts. This scholar-practitioner approach will inform and enhance participants’ practice and their ability to create effective student-centred learning environments.
Unique Aspects of the Programme: Our experienced lecturing team develop participants’ professional skills and competence as teachers, lecturers, trainers and education professionals whilst valuing the wealth of knowledge and experience that they, as adult learners, bring to the classroom. Participants can apply their learning directly to enhance their practice and can share their experience in a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
Delivery: The MEd in Teaching and Learning is delivered in part-time mode in WIT using a blended mode of delivery that includes class-based workshops, generally Saturdays and in blocks throughout the year, and on-line work using Moodle.
