At this time of year, our focus is on getting the out the message about the range of fantastic learning opportunities open to adults from September. Check out the open day and registration events across the city highlighted below. Remember the information and Guidance team is here to support any adult who needs help in making choices.

Funded Upskilling Courses Mid-West

Regional Skills Mid-West have published an information booklet for 2024 - 2025, which has been produced on behalf of both further and higher education providers in the region. Many of the courses listed have links that you can click to access additional information direct from the provider.

SUSI part-time funding

In early August details of a new part-time fee scheme for specified undergraduate courses was announced. This is the first time any grant is being provided for part-time education under the Student Support Act 2011.

Springboard+ Courses

Springboard+

Springboard+ is a Government initiative offering free and heavily subsidised courses at certificate, degree, and masters level leading to qualifications in areas where there are employment opportunities in the economy. These areas include ICT, engineering, green skills, manufacturing and construction, among many others.

There are 248 courses available for 2024-25, the majority of which are flexible and part-time. Click below to view available courses.
