NCGE’s Guidance Matters is a twice-yearly newsletter for guidance counsellors, educators and policy makers. Continuing Professional Development
‘Step-by-step approach to Guidance Planning using the
Whole School Guidance Framework’
Thank you to all those who participated in the 3 x CPD days that have taken place so far in Dublin, Mullingar and Cork (to find out more about this activity check out the recent Guidance Matters article). NCGE will provide 4 more “step by step” regional events during September and October 2019. If you are interested in attending please notify us (also advising of your preferred location) by registering below.

In support of schools using the NCGE: A Whole School Guidance Framework; accompanying planning resources are available for all schools to use. These resources employ a whole school approach to guidance, applicable across both Junior and Senior Cycle, and are currently organised into three main sections:

  • Exploring Whole School Guidance in our School  
  • Convening a School Guidance Group
  • Information Gathering & Evidence in our School

National Forum on Guidance – 01/05/2019
‘Guidance Matters: An exploration and discussion on strategic
developments in guidance –  linking policy and practice’
The National Forum on Guidance provides an informal communication and co-operation facility for those involved in the provision of guidance and the development and support of guidance practitioners and services.
