About this Event

October 27th – 30th (10:00am – !2:00pm each day)

Participation in the online camp is structured using a fusion of presentations, 3rd level student experiences, design thinking and prototype development. The NUI Galway course will focus on developing a innovation solution to problems associated with COVID-19 with students having access to experts in the medtech space to support their innovation journey. No experience or knowledge of the medtech space is required to take part in this exciting programme.

The 4 day camp is for 2 hrs per day for students and is free to attend. Students must be in transition year and the senior cycle of 2nd level education. The camp begins each day at 10:00 am and will finish at 12:00 pm.

During the camp students will identify a COVID-19 related problem and develop and video pitch their own solution. The winning video will receive a new IPad.

The camp will be delivered by LaunchPad, BioInnovate Ireland and award winning students from the College of Medicine, Nursing, & Health Sciences and College of Science and Engineering.

The camp is generously funded by the Higher Education Authority and is open to Transition Year and Senior Cycle Students only.
