Irish National Sailing & Powerboat SchoolThe Irish National Sailing and Powerboat School is situated on the West Pier, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin. We provide courses for children from four years of age. Children are given the opportunity to investigate all sorts of weird and wonderful creatures that are left behind in rock pools, or hidden underneath rocks and seaweeds by the receding tide. Children have a natural curiosity and if allowed will spend hours at the sea shore, exploring miniature havens for marine wildlife. A classroom introduction to rock pooling at the school’s centre will stimulate the children’s senses. What will see, hear or smell? What are limpets, clams or sea anemone? Where are they hiding? How do they move? We also offer the chance to take a boat trip around Dun Laoghaire harbour and the very energetic can go kayaking!
