Painting (Adults aged 16+)

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced painter, these classes will help you master your chosen media or experiment with new ones. You will learn to mix colour, use a palette knife, glaze, varnish and create your own compositions in a relaxed creative environment; suitable for acrylics and oils.

Sewing for Adults
10 Weeks

This course is a mixture of beginner and intermediate sewers/sewists who want to bring their sewing and creative skills to the next level. A creative environment where everyone can learn at their own pace.

Bring your own sewing machine, alternatively we have two class sewing machines in house that can be booked for the term.

On your 8 week course, Etaoin will expertly guide you through some of the various techniques to get you started on your ceramic journey. From introduction to ceramics and how to join clay together, to making funky storage jars and candleholders to decorating using slips and glazes, you will work at a steady and relaxed pace to create some wonderful objects to be proud of. During the course Etaoin will also be setting up a pottery wheel going through the different stages of throwing.

Join our after school art club at Creative Spark. Young artists explore a huge variety of different techniques and projects. Sew Creative for Kids 10 Weeks

Learn how to sew using a sewing machine. Kids will make fabulous sewing and fashion projects using sewing machines and hand sewing techniques, in a fun and safe environment. During this 10-week course, participants will get to create personalised projects to bring home and use, while learning new skills on the way.

Silkscreen Printing for Beginners/Improvers
5 Weeks

This five-week course is a great opportunity to learn the art of screen printing. Explore and learn screen printing, both paper and fabric printing.

Using your own drawings and images, discover how to transform your design into an edition of prints. You will learn all the tricks and skills you need to start screen printing independently at a high level.  You will experiment techniques, such us hand cut stencils, photo stencils and MRPVC hand drawn stencil.

This course is suitable for complete beginners and well as improvers.

Ceramics Learn How to Model the Head in Clay 1-day workshop

Join Sallyanne for a 1-day workshop to make an expressive model of the head and shoulders.
This intensive course is suitable for all, beginners or experienced, for anyone interested in exploring this fascinating art form. By working with templates and our imagination you will create a unique and expressive model.

By the end of this course students will learn how to:, roll and cut clay slabs. Form and shape the neck and head.  Mould the head and sculpt the facial expression.

Learn a variety of digital fabrication skills in this 7-week course for beginners. This is the perfect opportunity to experiment with materials, designs and manufacturing processes from laser cutting to 3D printing and other manufacturing processes in order to gain new knowledge for your projects and ideas. GirlsCanCode! – Free Coding Event for Girls

Join us for a fun filled Coding Event for Girls Aged 8 to 13 years, where we will introduce the girls to coding and computer science using Scratch and Turtlestitch.

The girls will learn how to code using Scratch, a child-friendly block-based coding language.
The girls will also get hands-on with textiles by coding a simple pattern using another block-based coding language called Turtlestitch. They will upload their code to our sewing machines to stitch their pattern onto material and take it home to show friends and family.

The event workshops will be facilitated by experienced tutors from The Code Lab and Creative Spark FabLab.

This is a free event, but booking is essential. Please be considerate when reserving tickets. If you are unable to attend, kindly cancel your booking to allow others to participate.
