Which Course is for me? 

With so many changes in Certification in this popular area, we would like to take a minute to help you figure out the option that is best for you!

Do you want to work with children aged 0-6 years?
Then our Early Learning and Care Courses are for you.

• ELC studies allows students to gain employment in creche, preschool and after school
• Students will complete 150 hours in Professional Practice Placement over two settings
• Setting 1 – students work with children aged 0-2 years and 8 months
• Setting 2 – students work with children aged 2 years and 8 months – 6 years
• Course content includes drama, creative arts, music and learning through play

Do you want to work with older children with an educational special need in a school setting?   Then the Special Needs Assisting QQI Level 5 is the course for you.

• SNA studies allows students to gain employment in preschool, primary and secondary schools and special education schools
• Students will complete 120 hours in Professional Practice Placement
• Students can avail of some ‘on site’ placement in GCC as well as external placement.
• Course content includes special needs assisting, equality and disability and young people and society
