Learn At Home with CDETB Coolock Darndale ALS

At you
will find lots of students’ writings for our annual Dublin Lives publication, complete with audio and interactive exercises. Students and tutors have been using these stories as a great resource when classes cannot happen face-to-face. Students can use the
materials in their own time, at their own pace,  reading about stories that are local to them.

The tutors at Coolock Darndale ALS have also been preparing and sharing classes through the webiste that anyone can tune in to and use – teachers and students alike. You can check these out in our Learn
area. During the first lockdown, our History
was particularly popular. Students from across the service learnt about Local Dublin History and the Irish War of Independence, all from the comfort of their own homes. Most recently, the Health
& Wellbeing
section is growing with short classes on Meditation, Relaxation and Mindfulness.

There are also lots of Tips & Guides and Workbooks & Resources that have been developed by CDETB Adult Education Service teams across the city, as well as useful resources from outside agencies that tutors have shared for students to use.

Lots of people have been developing new digital skills over the last year. Using the website has been a lovely way for students to explore new skills and take a safe first step into the world of online learning. We really look forward to getting back into the
classroom, but in the meantime we’re embracing and creating new ways of connecting with our community of learners.
