Cavan Institute Open Day
I would like to extend an invitation to you and your senior cycle students to attend our Open Day at Cavan Institute on Thursday 23rd March 2023 from 9.30am to 3.00pm at our Cathedral Road campus in Cavan. This is an ideal opportunity for senior cycle students to sample our extensive range of courses, explore progression/employment routes in Ireland, UK and Europe and view the facilities on offer. I would be grateful if you could display the attached poster in your centre.
Cavan Institute is happy to arrange and incur the cost of bus hire for groups of 15 or more students wishing to attend Open Day. On completion of the Open Day registration form at the link below, a member of our Admin team will contact you to discuss arrangements in relation to transport to and from the event.
Over the course of the day, there will be an extensive range of activities that will be particularly beneficial to senior cycle students in selecting third level options and in planning for their future careers to include:
- Careers Fair
- Information Sessions
- Demonstrations
- Workshops and Laboratory visits
Students will have the opportunity to meet with tutors and guidance counsellors and current students will be on hand to recount their own personal experiences and offer advice. There will also be a briefing for Guidance Counsellors, giving an overview of what’s on offer in Cavan Institute.

Cavan Institute is also holding an Information Day on Saturday 22nd April 2023 from 11:00 to 2.00pm at its Cathedral Road Campus in Cavan. The purpose of this day is to invite potential applicants and their parents/guardians to the Institute where they will have the opportunity to meet with tutors to discuss course options.
