Do you have students interested in an
ESB Apprenticeship

Apprenticeships provide exciting career opportunities as well as opportunities to work in dynamic environments with a variety of different companies. Every year we at Career Services successfully prepare hundreds of interested students for the ESB, eir, Aer Lingus,  Bus Eireann, and many other apprenticeship selection tests.

2020 ESB Apprenticeships

The ESB is expected to open applications for apprentices again in February 2020. Once open, interested candidates will be able to apply through the ESB website

The Selection Process

After a candidate applies for an ESB Apprenticeship, they are usually required to undertake a series of aptitude tests and an interview as part of the selection process. This is a highly popular apprenticeship programme and thus very competitive.

How to Prepare

Our renowned Apprenticeship Preparation courses focus on preparing students for the various aptitude tests that are used as part of the ESB recruitment process as well as the structured interview. Our courses give students the tools they need to succeed in these selection processes. We have a proven track record with over 30 years of assessment industry experience. Our popular classroom courses take place nationwide and our 2020 courses are now available to book. These fill quickly every year so early bookings are advisable.

IMPORTANT: Please note that based on previous ESB campaigns, students applying to the ESB only had 5 days to complete the official ESB online aptitude tests once an eligible application to the ESB was made. Anyone interested in a preparation course is advised NOT TO APPLY to the ESB until they have attended the preparation course. Our courses are strategically set to allow ample opportunity to apply after attending the course.

Are your courses suitable for other apprenticeships?

Absolutely! While our preparation courses are mainly focused on the ESB Apprenticeships, they are appropriate for many other apprenticeship competitions such as  Aer Lingus, Bord na Mona,  Bus Eireann, eir, Iarnrod Eireann as well as hundreds of other private company apprenticeship competitions. Most apprenticeships would use very similar styles of aptitude tests and interviews.
