AgTechUCD at the Ploughing Championships, 2022
The AgTechUCD Team are looking forward to attending the National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska, Co Laois on its return to in person after the pandemic hiatus. AgTechUCD were delighted to be a part of the judging panel for the Innovation Arena, working with James Maloney and his team in Enterprise Ireland. The Innovation Arena will be host to a large number of innovative startups and SMEs who are disrupting the agri sector. These startups and SMEs will showcase their innovations at the NPA next week, a visit to support these companies is a must.
The AgTechUCD Innovation Centre has sponsored a Partner Award at this year Innovation Arena - ‘AgTechUCD Startup Award’ and will provide a place to the winning startup on the 2022 #Agccelerator Programme starting on October 18th.

Our 12-week programme consists of weekly practical business and leadership workshops, mentoring with industry experts, guest role model presentations, all of which culminates with an Investor ready pitch event at the end of the programme. Participation is FREE, the only cost is YOUR TIME.
The 2022 programme will have a blended delivery format, 3 full days in person at the UCD Lyons Farm in Kildare and the remainder of the programme delivered virtually, 2 mornings per week.

AgTechUCD are delighted to collaborate with the Ludgate Hub and Agritech Ireland to bring you a unique Agri-Innovation event to generate solutions to the agricultural industries biggest challenges. With YOUR help, we can generate ideas for the "Farm of the Future".
You are invited to this 1-day event which will bring together a diverse mix of people from the agricultural industry in teams who can identify challenges facing the agriculture sector. Those challenges can be vast and varied. Through our facilitator, and team-based exercises the challenges identified, will be discussed and methodologies applied for the creation of a robust solution. The solutions will then be presented before our team of judges and a prize will be awarded to the winning team.
Proveye secures €225,000 in Funding from the European Space Agency
Proveye, an AgTechUCD #Agccelerator Startup Alumni, has been awarded €225,000 in funding from the European Space Agency, through the ARTES 4.0 Downstream Fund
Proveye a UCD spin-out company based at NovaUCD is pioneering the use of digital image data for both agriculture and environment protection. The funding will support the company’s commercialisation of its grassland management platform which Proveye plans to bring to market in 2023.
