Grennan Mill Craft School is located in the idyllic setting of the Island Mill in Thomastown. Their annual exhibition is a showcase of craft produced over 2 years by the graduating students and we would now like to welcome you. The exhibition runs from –
FRIDAY May 25th through to THURSDAY May 31st 10.00am – 6.00pm daily
Grennan Mill Craft School prides itself in teaching age-old crafts to a very high standard using traditional tools and techniques. The crafts include Batik, Ceramics, Metalcraft, Printmaking & Woven Textiles and each craft will be well-represented in the exhibition which is laid out throughout the mill. It is a great opportunity to see some high quality pieces of work which have been created by very talented students who have completed over two years, QQI Level 5 Art, Craft and Design and Level 6 Art (Advanced Art, Craft & Design) Some works by the students will be for sale at very reasonable prices. The Graduating students this year come from Ireland, Brazil & Germany.
Admission to the exhibition is free, and all ages are welcome. The ground floor only is wheelchair accessible. Car parking facilities are available on Mill Street within a short walking distance from the school as there is limited car parking at Grennan Mill Craft School itself.
There will be a café serving a selection of home-made baking and cooking which will be open on Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th May, with additional limited opening times from Tuesday 29th through to Thursday 31st May (please note NO CAFE on Monday 28th)
