iPad Note Taking Apps

iPad Note Taking Apps for Students and Teachers - When it comes to iPad apps for taking notes the app store is teeming with several of them, however, only few are really worth the try. Here is a list of some of the best apps I have particularly prepared for teachers and students.

This selection below will save you the trouble of looking for what to use or recommend to your students.

1- Noteshelf
Write notes, sketch ideas, annotate PDFs, fill forms, sign contracts, teach a class, make a presentation, keep a journal — or just have fun! Organize, search, and personalize your digital shelf of unlimited notebooks. Noteshelf works beautifully with a digital pen or stylus, too!

2- Evernote
Evernote is an easy-to-use, free app that helps you remember everything across all of the devices you use. Stay organized, save your ideas and improve productivity. Evernote lets you take notes, capture photos, create to-do lists, record voice reminders--and makes these notes completely searchable, whether you are at home, at work, or on the go.

3- Pages
This powerful word processor helps you create gorgeous reports, resumes, and documents in minutes. Pages has been designed exclusively for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch with support for Multi-Touch gestures and Smart Zoom.

4- Notability
Notability is so powerful that it will transform how you work: sketch ideas, annotate documents, sign contracts, complete worksheets, keep a journal, jot travel notes, teach a class, make a presentation and much more. With iCloud support, your notes stay up to date on all your devices!

5- Paper
Paper is where ideas begin. It’s the easiest and most beautiful way to create on iPad. Capture your ideas as sketches, diagrams, illustrations, notes or drawings and share them across the web. Try it free—buy additional tools from the in-App Store.

6- Penultimate
The most natural digital handwriting experience on iPad, Penultimate gives you the convenience and feel of writing on paper with the added power and availability of Evernote. Take notes in class or a meeting, journal your thoughts, or outline your next big idea -- in the office, on the go, or at home on the sofa.

7- Note Taker
Note Taker HD is a powerful app for writing and organizing handwritten notes, diagrams, etc., on the iPad. It can also be used to annotate PDF files. It can shrink your writing so you can easily fit a lot of text on a page. You can read the reduced-size "ink" as if you had written those letters with a very fine pen. It gives you solid functionality and control to produce the pages you need.
